Ms. Emily Shunn, currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bowie State University, is dedicated to becoming a counselor inspired by compassion and understanding. Guided by Carl Jung's philosophy, she values the potential in others and leads with empathy, qualities honed during her tenure in education, where she excelled in classroom and behavior management. 

She brings extensive experience working with young people, having previously taught English and Reading at Mesquite ISD in Texas. There, she crafted engaging curricula that fostered literacy and addressed diverse learning needs through personalized intervention strategies. 

Ms. Shunn is committed to specializing in trauma, domestic violence, and eating disorders, driven by personal experiences within her family. She aims to create safe, empowering spaces for women to access their inherent strengths. 

Alongside her studies, Ms. Shunn is training to be a certified yoga instructor and enjoys rock climbing, reading, and crafting in her leisure time.
