Ms. Wood has worked with over 100 adults, couples, and teens from diverse backgrounds. She is equipped to manage cases from trauma and co-occurring disorders to anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, and relationship concerns. She has served veterans, intensive outpatient, mobile treatment, virtual care, and homeless populations. Through her positive approach to counseling and advocacy for client self-care, Ms. Wood has seen clients improve and advocate maintaining their overall health throughout her treatment.
Ms. Wood completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University and received her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from the Loyola University of Maryland. She has a positive and inviting personality and uses an eclectic approach to therapy to ensure a person-centered experience that clients value. Ms. Wood utilizes treatment interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, strength-based therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based therapy to help clients achieve their treatment goals.
